Don’t Accept Defeat
I was recently watching Letter’s from Iwo Jima. It was directed by Clint Eastwood and is about the story of the battle for Iwo Jima. The US in WWII planned on invading this key strategic island an use it for attacking Japan and they planned it would take at least 3 to 4 days. Although the Japanese were outnumbered 5000 to more than 70,000 It took the Americans more than a month to finally win the battle.
I was thinking about this because as people are seeking success in life they tend to meet obstacles and stop. They don’t continue because they lack the will to. If Thomas Edison had met with defeat the first time that he tried the light bulb we probably would have had to wait for indoor light. He had something like 300 failures before he got it right.
Personally I have had some setbacks in my career plans or ones that didn’t work out. However in spite of those I am know in a position to capitalize on the plans that I have made in order to become a millionaire and accomplish those things that I dreamed of.
Don’t let defeat get in your way to achieving financial independence it is all about persistence. The best always plow on and don’t give up. Michael Jordan the best basketball player of all time is that way because he was not afraid to take the game winning shot. He probably missed more than he made, but the ones that he made are the ones that we remember.
